UNO demonstrates its commitment to international education by awarding scholarships to academically talented students from around the world.
Two different types of scholarships are offered through International Studies and Programs. These scholarships range from $2,500 to $6,800 per academic year. Qualifying students must meet the requirements listed below.
a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
a prospective UNO undergraduate or graduate student (not currently enrolled) ready for full-time admission to your program
F-1 or J-1 visa applicant or visa holder
UNO Advantage Scholarships allow recipients to pay resident tuition rates. The scholarships typically reduce tuition charges by about 65% and are worth $6,000 to $7,700 per year. They are renewable each year with good academic progress.
New International Student Scholarships are worth $6000 per academic year. Partial grants of $3,000 are sometimes awarded for a single semester. These scholarships are not renewable.
